Work has started on the new 146,000-square-foot critical care tower at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. With four floors, one of which will be left for future development, the tower will be used to care solely for patients who are seriously or critically ill. Each floor will feature 26 private rooms, all equipped at ICU level and in clear view from the centralized nursing stations.

Featuring five and a half miles of cast iron piping and over three miles of copper piping, this project is a vertical expansion that is being built on top of the existing hospital.
