One Independence Center Undergoing Extensive Renovations

101 N Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202

Previously known as 101 North Tryon, the 20-story, 546,876-square-foot tower has a new name and is getting its ground-level revitalized. Now known as One Independence Center, this landmark location is getting some major renovations including a new entrance along Tryon Street, and a redesign of the lobby and atrium that connects One Independence Center to Charlotte City Center Marriott and The Ivey's Hotel. Precision Plumbing is taking part in revamping the 23,000-square-foot ground level retail and dining space. Almost one mile of sanitary waste & vent, storm, domestic water, and gas piping will be installed by Precision for this project. 

Precision worked with JE Dunn for over a year on budgeting and breakout proposals until a combination of necessary renovations and budget constraints were able to be worked into a final design. With its street-level retail and dining spots, and new front porches that will provide outdoor seating, this prominent corner will become a more inviting space for the community to gather and socialize.
