PROJECT OVERVIEW

We supported the North Carolina Zoo Asia Exhibit project in Asheboro, NC—a large-scale, multi-area development that included a café, pavilion, and specialized animal habitats such as otter and tiger spaces. Working alongside Rodgers Builders as the general contractor and coordinating with the NC Zoo ownership team, our team contributed to the plumbing scope across both public-facing and operational areas, ensuring systems were aligned with the project’s unique environmental and infrastructure needs.

Our involvement included working through comprehensive plumbing plans for the café, gift shop, guest areas, restrooms, animal enclosures, and zookeeper facilities. This encompassed drainage, domestic water, gas systems, and specialized components like grease interceptors and water heating systems. We collaborated closely with architectural, scientific, and engineering teams to integrate complex systems supporting animal life support infrastructure, water features, and filtration systems for complex biomes.

This project reflects our ability to contribute to large, technically complex and specialized work where coordination and accuracy are critical to delivering a successful outcome.
