PROJECT OVERVIEW

We performed multiple plumbing scopes across several Queens University renovation projects, primarily under Vannoy Construction, focused on residence halls and campus buildings. Our work included installing and modifying gas piping systems (such as routing gas lines to equipment, roof hydrants, and patio connections), as well as providing and connecting water heaters and condensate piping. We also handled plumbing system tie-ins, including waste, water, and vent systems, while using materials like cast iron DWV and copper piping.

In renovation areas like residence halls, we demolished existing plumbing systems and installed new fixtures such as shower valves, drains, ADA-compliant units, and floor drains, ensuring all systems met North Carolina plumbing code requirements.

In addition, our scope covered coordination, permitting considerations, and compliance with project specifications, while clearly excluding items like permits, site work, and certain equipment depending on the contract. Across projects like Barnhardt, Belk, and Tillett renovations, we contributed to both infrastructure upgrades and targeted improvements (e.g., shower room renovations and gas line installations for specialty areas).

Overall, our role centered on delivering complete plumbing system upgrades—from demolition through installation and testing—supporting broader campus renovation efforts with reliable, code-compliant systems.
