PROJECT OVERVIEW
We are proud to be part of the team bringing Wegmans’ first Charlotte-area location to life in Ballantyne. As the lead plumbing contractor for this approximately 110,000-square-foot grocery store at 11550 North Community House Road, we have been involved from the early stages of construction, supporting the essential infrastructure that allows a project of this scale to operate seamlessly.
Our team has worked through each phase of the build—installing and refining piping systems, adjusting layouts as the design evolved, and ensuring all underground and above-ground components are built for long-term performance. Even through challenging conditions and ongoing coordination across trades, we’ve maintained steady progress to keep the project on track for its planned opening.
Our role on this project has focused on delivering reliable, high-quality plumbing systems that support every part of the store—from food preparation areas and specialty departments to back-of-house operations. Throughout construction, we’ve completed critical work such as underground piping, drain relocations to match evolving layouts, and system cleanouts and repairs to ensure everything functions exactly as intended. By staying actively engaged as the building has taken shape, we’re helping create a facility that will operate efficiently from day one and continue to perform for years to come.
Beyond the building itself, this project represents a major investment in the Ballantyne community. Once complete, the new Wegmans will provide access to high-quality groceries, fresh prepared foods, and a unique shopping experience that includes in-store dining and interactive food concepts. It is also expected to bring significant economic impact—creating hundreds of construction jobs during development and employing around 450 people when it opens. For us, being part of this project means more than delivering systems—it means contributing to a destination that will serve local families, create jobs, and become a lasting asset to the Charlotte community.
