101 N Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202 Previously known as 101 North Tryon, the 20-story, 546,876-square-foot tower has a new name and is getting its ground-level revitalized. Now known as One Independence Center, this landmark location is getting some major renovations including a new entrance along Tryon Street, and a redesign of the lobby and atrium that connects One Independence Center to Charlotte City Center Marriott and The Ivey's Hotel. Precision Plumbing is taking part in revamping the 23,000-square-foot ground level retail and dining space. Almost one mile of sanitary waste & vent, storm, domestic water, and gas piping will be installed by Precision for this project. Precision worked with JE Dunn for over a year on budgeting and breakout proposals until a combination of necessary renovations and budget constraints were able to be worked into a final design. Located at the corner of Stonewall Street and Tryon Street, the Ally Charlotte Center will be a 26-story, 742,000 square foot office building. As the anchor tenant of the building, Ally Financial will occupy over 400,000 square feet of the tower. Set on a 3.54-acre property, this mixed-use development will feature ground level retail and restaurant space, large open plaza space, a 380+ room hotel constructed by White Lodging, and an adjacent eight story parking garage. Precision Plumbing will be installing 16,000 lf of pipe with 513 plumbing fixtures. As a high-rise office building, this project is a perfect fit for Precision's capabilities in BIM and prefabrication.
