Expanding Care in Cheraw: McLeod Health Project Update

We’re proud to be part of the ongoing expansion at McLeod Health in Cheraw, South Carolina—a project that will significantly strengthen access to healthcare for the surrounding community.

This expansion is designed to increase the hospital’s capacity and enhance the level of care it can provide. The project includes new patient beds, expanded critical care areas, updated surgical capabilities, and modern diagnostic spaces that will allow the facility to better serve patients and families across the region. As the needs of the community continue to grow, this expansion will play an important role in supporting both immediate and long-term healthcare demands.

Our team is responsible for installing the plumbing and medical gas systems that serve as the backbone of the facility. These systems are critical to how a hospital operates day-to-day, from delivering clean water and maintaining sanitary conditions to supporting the specialized gases used in patient care. Every area of the building depends on these systems performing reliably, especially in high-demand environments like operating rooms, ICU spaces, and treatment areas.

Progress on site continues to move forward at a steady pace. Underground utilities are actively being installed, tying the building into the infrastructure it needs to function. At the same time, coordination efforts are ongoing across all trades to ensure every system is properly integrated as construction advances.

As the structure begins to take shape, our work will continue to follow closely alongside each phase of the build. From early underground installation to equipment setting, system testing, and final commissioning, every step is focused on delivering a complete and reliable system that meets the demands of a modern healthcare facility.

The project is currently targeting completion in 2027, with the facility expected to become operational shortly after. As work continues, each milestone brings the project one step closer to delivering expanded healthcare services to the Cheraw community.
